The Winnipeg Hot Air Balloon Ride flies over the notable intersection of the Red and Assiniboine rivers where you will find The Folks, a shopping and entertainment district, alongside Shaw Park. Assiniboine park is the oldest green space in the city encompassing 445 hectares of grown trees, cultural facilities, and English gardens.
Your thrilling experience begins when you meet with your friendly pilot and crew. Once the hot air balloon is inflated and the pilot determines the balloon is ready for flight, you and the rest of the passengers will climb into the basket.
When the air inside of the balloon reaches the correct temperature, the balloon will gradually ascend above the tree tops, over a thousand feet into the sky. As you float over Winnipeg, you will travel peacefully at wind speed for approximately one hour.Towards the end of your journey, the balloon will begin to descend back down to earth where you'll enjoy a traditional champagne toast.
