Get out on the water and learn to set sail!
This introductory Toronto sailing lesson is designed to provide novice boaters with the opportunity to learn to sail in a safe and relaxed environment. This entry level Sail Canada course is taught on a specially designed First 22. With minimal learning objectives, this experience can be easily adapted to meet the comfort level of first-time boaters or more experienced individuals.
Your Instructors are certified by Sail Canada and provide thorough and engaging lessons.
No prior sailing knowledge or experience is required.
What's included:
- Preparation of the boat for departure.
- Departure from the dock as crew.
- Assist in sailing activities while underway including raising and lower the sails, sail trim, and helming.
- Returning to dock as crew.
When: Wednesday and Saturdays June to September.*

Need to know:
- The maximum number of participants per class is 4.
- Boarding the boat requires the ability to step out/up/down approximately 0.5m or 2'.
- Once on board, you may remain seated the whole time and watch or move freely about the yacht.
- Gratuities included in price.
- All participants must sign a waiver.
- All bookings are subject to severe weather rescheduling and minimum participation. Sailing occurs rain or shine unless subject to dangerous conditions.
- We recommend wearing a hat, sunscreen, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layered clothing (a base cool layer, warmer middle layer and waterproof outer layer). The temperature can be much cooler during a breeze and when the sun sets.
