1. People and Places Adventure

Explore the parks and shops of Downtown Richmond on this fast-paced clue-solving adventure. Funds designated to launch a major new cultural program in the city of Richmond have been stolen. Time to recover them has reached a critical point and the RCMP needs your help to solve the case!

• Start location: Downtown Richmond, British Columbia

• Start time: The game is restricted to Richmond Centre Mall Hours. It is recommended playing between 9am and 7pm..

• Walking distance: 2.9 kms Mostly flat walking on paved trails and inside a mall.. A section of this adventure takes place inside Richmond Centre mall. .

• Average time to complete: 90 - 120 minutes.

• What you need: At least one fully charged cellphone per team (we advise 2+) and footwear for walking around town. Dress for the weather.

• Children: This adventure is family friendly. We recommend playing with adults as the clues can be quite challenging.

2. Flights of Fashion

Explore McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport in a whole new way! It appears an internationally renowned fashion designer is set to launch a highly sophisticated new clothing brand. They are moving from city to city trying to find a location worthy of the launch. But to win the deal you and your team will need to successfully solve a series of clues.

• Start location: at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport

• Start time: During public open hours for the airport - we recommend playing between 8am and 8pm.

• Walking distance: Approximately 2.5km. Flat indoor and outdoor pathways. Elevators and escalators available in places where there are stairs.

• Average time to complete: 2 hours.

• What you need: At least one fully charged cellphone per team (we advise 2+) and footwear for walking around town. Dress for the weather.

• Children: This adventure is good for families. 

How it works:

• You’ll receive a series of clues on the free APP. Each clue will guide you to the next location where you'll solve a puzzle or find a hidden word.
• Along the way, you'll visit local icons, experience stunning scenery and uncover hidden places.
• Once you’ve registered your adventure and selected your start date with the tour provider, you’ll receive an email with the access code and instructions. This happens after you’ve activated your experience on Breakaway Experiences’ website.
• Download the free APP and use the access code to activate your adventure.
• Clues are sequential and written assuming you have no knowledge of the town.
• Submit the correct answer and you will immediately get the next clue. Don’t worry, hints and directions are available, but they’ll cost you a time penalty!
• Decipher all the clues to solve the final mystery!
• The game is most fun when working with other people to find and decipher clues. Suggested team size is 2 to 5 players.

Need to know:

• You are not required to purchase anything along the route, however there will be time for shopping and dining if you wish.
• Make sure your phone is charged before you start. Additional phones can be added to your game at no extra cost.
• Data plans are only used to activate the adventure and are not used during play.
