Newfoundland Beer Tour in St. John’s

Learn about the province’s long and rich beer history on this guided tour with as you savour suds ranging from a sour brewed with Newfoundland sea salt to a complex stout with lagers and ales in between. Led by a knowledgeable tour guide, you’ll visit 3 breweries / bars and enjoy 7 samples of beer brewed in St. John’s.

Along the way your entertaining guide will regale you with stories of prohibition and the gangsters that came with it, an accidental port discovery, and the local beer connection to Jimmy Kimmel. Plus, you get a crash course on how to taste craft beers as learn about how St. John’s became the city it is today.

Your tour begins on George Street, the gateway to the city’s entertainment district. You'll learn about how St. John's began, some of the traditions, and the some of the unique architecture before you begin tasting the suds. At each stop you'll sample several types of beer spending about 30 minutes at each brewery/bar.

Your last stop on this tasty tour is at the historic YellowBelly Brewery & Public House. Here you'll learn about why it’s called YellowBelly corner and the Irish connection. And you'll get the scoop on the brewery’s connection to a Tony-winning Broadway musical as you are sampling the beer named after it.
