This fully accessible (no hills or stairs!) 90-minute tour is for everyone! This tour is an entertaining and informative introduction to St. John’s along one of North America’s most historic streets.

Your tour begins on Water Street, possibly the oldest continuously operating commercial street in North America. It has been the centre of commerce and life in St. John’s since Europeans first arrived in this harbour.

Following your knowledgeable, amusing guide, you’ll uncover the past and reveal the present of the street that was once the centre of one of the world’s largest and most important fisheries..

Highlights
  • Water Street - You'll hear stories from the past and present as you wander down what has been the main commercial thoroughfare of St. John's since the 16th century.
  • Harbourside Park - Here you'll learn about how Newfoundland was settled, about Newfoundland’s two breeds of dog, and hear some wartime stories.
